You didn't saw which ear you heard the tone from, but make a mental note that whatever it is, the sounds from the west arrive in that ear.

I think with what I described for you in time you will be more able to identify what you are hearing, because you'll look for different qualities in sound.

Every person that hears ear tones hears them differently and in time you'll find your way along the path.
