Publishing, Turkey prediction in retrospect

Canie-the post with the link to the NASA site with the noise from the Leonids meteors was interesting. Maybe you guys will get me to write down the times when I hear ear tones (rarely).

2 cents: I read your long post and don't have much to add. I don't think having a lot of statistics is all that is needed to publish. It is just as/more important how things are presented. Seeber and Armbruster could publish their work in a major journal, but they don't have time to write up everything they do. I think they will publish this one. I'll have to re-read their abstract, but there are known stress and strain changes expected after an earthquake, and the seismicity they recorded is related to these adjustments. No need to have anything too mysterious.

Concerning co-authors. These are not required, but if they add some work that quantifies a physical mechanism (in the case I'm thinking of), then they do not hurt. I almost always have co-authors because it is boring to work alone. I work from a home office, so get isolated, and spend time on this page instead of doing some work.....Chris
