Re: A few questions for Bob Re: Crystal |
Hi Bob: Just thought I would ask a few Q's: 1) What was the source of the audio waves? A piezocrystal excited by a waveform generator which physically pressed the crystal? BOB: We assumed and hypo'ed. We were never sure where it was coming from, but the experiments took place at 3500 feet in the Kettle Range, heavily forested, very few humans... 2) Did you try to isolate audio from electromagnetic effects (i.e. shield from EM but allow acoustic waves only)? Our original 'experiment' had nothing to do with crystal or ulf-vlf so we had no means of isolating. We did know that we were 4 miles from the nearest grid. This area had no phone, no electricity and we had to haul water for drinking, leaving the creek water for other things. 3) What waveform was used (sine, square, triangle, etc.)? Now..I did have a modified square waveform generator, but it was not used in the tests. We 4) Did u actually measure the emitted spectrum? No and again we had no means to do so. Some of our ancient tools were solar and AC conversion. We never anything but record the sessions on VHS and an old 4 track Yamaha mixer recorder which I just happened to have because I had just finished a cassette release of our old music groups songs.. I don't even have a copy but there are a few copies floating around out that which were sold. 5) Did you use a shielded room (to keep out noise signals)? No 6) Was somebody jockying the waveform frequency to see if the people could track up or down or was this discerned by measuring the output and then comparing hand-signals? Nope...No way to do that..You have to understand that we lived in the REAL wilderness..this was no made for TV movie..We had nothing but our collective minds to work with. 7) for "audion wave" did you mean "audio wave"? Yes I did mean audio, although I have been known to obfuscate:-) 8) If you were meauring the actual waveforms produced (?) what was the upper -3 Db (half-power)cut-off frequency (or sample rate)? Unknown...I could only guess..and it has been a while, about 10 years. I do know I could replicate this again but it takes apprx two weeks and usually in the winter when the ground is frozen down about 2-3 feet. 9) Was only one or the other "ear" involved in "hearing" or was the single ear experience replicated ? Both ears received equal...It was stereo:-)
