Thanks Doc, you just reminded me to go check his mouth again. It looks good, healing incredibly well!

He was already on anti-biotics for a throat infection, so the ER doc said that should prevent any infection. We've had him rinse with salt water a few times a day, but the listerine sounds like a good idea too.

It wouldn't do any good to use a straw though, as the wounds all the way at the back of the roof of his mouth. It's healed to the point where it's completely closed off now, so nothing can get stuck in it.
