Seems there are probably better explanations, but the whole area is jumping right now - I suspect these are FFA from the Kunlun Mts. earthquake made larger by effects of the X1.1 flare this afternoon - these areas would be nearly sub-solar at the time of that flare. Two more earthquakes of M>=4 have been reported in the past several minutes - one near Crete south of Greece (Ml 4.5) and the other in the Norwegian Sea (Ml 4+)- hard to say where these will end up, but it doesn't look like it is over yet.
