Hi All,

I took some time on this rainy morning to tune into the Berkeley live seismo and saw a pattern I've seen many times before.

What I saw as a lot of activity coming down from the north at rather great speeds. From past experience this kind of waveform preceeds earthquakes that occur from Northern CA up into Alaska.

So if you're interested in having a look for yourself, the link is below.

The top of the screen is north
The middle around Berkeley - To the Far East
Slightly below middle is the Southbay area
The bottom is southern CA for further south.

This seismograph can record earthquakes thousands of miles away. If it starts producing bands going straight up and down that means there is a large earthquake occurring.
