Well, here's three ideas:

1. Create a wider FFA zone.

2. By color coding use the energy release area as let's say the "red zone" and the nucleation point marked as the "yellow zone."

3. Create the wider FFA zone and place a double line down the center and use //// marks one way and \\\\ marks the other to designate the two areas.

This could easily bring on a dozen or so ideas.
