Hi All. Looks like Petra and Cathryn hit the jackpot. Today’s 3.3 quake is about 14 miles north of the 3.1 on 11/16/2001. As Lowell said. Looks like the area could be getting active again.

It’s going to be kind of curious to see if the activity continues north, or starts going in the other direction. The depth of both quakes is near the depth of the Loma Prieta quake.

According to the USGS one of the areas they are looking at for a major quake is from Portola Valley north to San Francisco. Today’s quake is south of Portola Valley.
