I was near there once some years ago while traveling along the coast highway. But
what I remember mostly besides the rugged beauty of the area was that my starter
on the car went out and it took more than a day to get a replacement.
You may be right on the aftershocks. The area does seem verrrrry quiet right now -
but this event could be an aftershock of the Ml 4.0 near the same location that
occurred on 10 November, which, along with the generally high seismicity throughout
the northwest early last week, suggested to me that more aftershocks may be
in store - thus the statement.
