I thought some of the users of this board who do get automatic announcements from NCSN might be interested in this - especially the low-frequency data that is now available. The following was received today from NCSN: There have been several new and exciting additions to the Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC) over the past year. We have expanded our collection of data for northern and central California, and have provided new tools to make our data more accessible to you, and to provide you with more information about our data and datasets.
Here is a summary of recent changes at the NCEDC: 1. USGS Low Frequency Geophysical Data available at the NCEDC The Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) are pleased to announce the availablity of extensive "low frequency" geophysical and fault monitoring data. The full announcement and details can be found at http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/news/2001.10.19.ul.announcement.html 2. SeismiQuery web interface available at the NCEDC The SeismiQuery program, a web-based program developed by the IRIS DMC, is now available the NCEDC. SeismiQuery provides users with a DMC, is now available the NCEDC. SeismiQuery provides users with a variety of pre-formatted queries concerning waveform data, instrument response, and channel information database from the NCEDC using easy point-and-click or forms-based requests. The full announcement and details can be found at http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/news/2001.11.15.seismiquery.announcement.html 3. EVT_FAST system provides access to NCSN waveform data at the NCEDC The USGS Northern California Seismic Network (NCSN) has recorded seismic waveforms for events in northern California from 1984 through present time. These data are archived at the NCEDC, and are now available to users via the EVT_FAST automated event waveform retrieval system through web and email requests. The EVT_FAST system allows users to request all of the waveforms for a specified NCSN event with a simple one-line request. Users can request event waveform data in one of the following formats: SAC binary, SAC ascii, or AH (XDR). The full announcement and details can be found at http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/news/2001.11.16.NCSN.evt_fast.announcement.html
