Very well, that leaves two possibilities.

1) microscopic particles do no great damage

2) the brain is near enough to the center of the magnetic field that particle movement is minimal.

Remember the patient who was killed by an oxygen tank accidentally brought into the scanning room? That field is POWERFUL!
