Welcome aboard. I think you will enjoy the comarardie enjoyed by the participants
on this board. No everyone who posts here is an amateur. The board enjoys the
expert opinion of a number of top scientists working in the field of earthquakes
including Roger Hunter, formerly a statistician with the USGS, Chouliaras, from
NOA in Greece and Roger Musson of the BGS in the U.K. As an old friend, I know
that every one reading this board will welcome your perspective, and I also know
that you will not let ME get away with anything.
By the way, Chris and I attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta together some years
ago, and, despite his humility is a good scientist with a strong background in
geology and the faults of Southern California. He has seen almost all of them
first hand while doing his PhD at U. Cal Santa Barbara.
