You may recall, Petra that during the L.A. swarm, many events were located at
deep hypocenter. This will be corrected later as will the epicenter. Preliminary
locations are just that - preliminary. Deep focal depths often (especially in California)
indicate that the other parameters are off by about the same distance as the
given depth is incorrect (in this case, it is likely that this hypocenter is off by
20-30 km from it's true location.)
