Hi Lowell. That is what is bothering me about this quake. Would it have occurred without the geomagnetic storm, or did it take the storm to trigger it? If it did then there is chance that the combination of the trigger (s) a geomagnetic storm and far-field aftershocks may be what’s needed to trigger a large quake. At least it’s something to think about.
