Newest CME arrives, recorded on sun-lit hemisphere seismograms only

Looks like a CME finally arrived about 03:21 this morning (UT). There is a sudden decline at that time in the geomagnetic Total field and a reversal of the earth-directed He field. The change in the total field is about 15%. For minute-to-minute details see: http://sec.noaa.gov/ftpdir/lists/geomag/20011028_G10mag_1m.txt For graphics see: http://sec.noaa.gov/today.html Seismograms at Guam, College Outpost, Alaska, So. Karori, New Zealand and Yakutsk all recorded this event with moderate to light down motions. As usual the strongest reading was from So. Karori, New Zealand. All these instruments were on the sun-lit hemisphere at the time of the event. no instrument on the darkened hemisphere recorded the event as far as I can tell at this time. For seismograms see: http://aslwww.cr.usgs.gov/Seismic_Data/heli2.htm
