I've made the decision to go ahead and make the switch to the new software. I weighed both public and private discussions in finally deciding.

There's pros and cons to both systems. I have my own concerns about switching. But I feel the pro's outweigh the con's and down the road we will be better for the change.

It will go live with the New Year.

In the mean time, if you haven't already done so, I would like everyone to sign up for their accounts over on the new site as soon as possible. I will activate folks registrations in no more than a day, most likely much less.

Unfortunately due to spam bots I have to activate everyone (as opposed to automatic activation by email), and gmail and hotmail email addresses are banned. ALL of the fake account attempts are coming in with those return addresses (just like here). So, if you have such you won't be able to use the registration system and I will have to set you up manually. Let me know.

There will be an overlap/grace period for no longer than the month of January. This is in case there is anyone who is already registered here but has problems even accessing the new forum so they can still post a message here to get my attention.

If anyone has any problems, questions, or ideas about the new setup please let me know and I will gladly do what I can to help. I can't fix something or make it better or explain how to use it if I don't know about it.

The original site will remain available as an archive, but after the grace period posting will be disabled.
