That's not real HTML. That's a special code for the forum software. For example, on myBB forums they call it "mycode". It resembles HTML for ease of use. The "test forum" has that.

It doesn't really do anything other than put the quoted text into it's own box. On boards like here and on EB I italicize the text I quote. I suppose that could be done relatively easily on this board, but I just don't know perl that well, nor the software itself.

The WWWBoard code is REALLY old code. The last release was 14 years ago. My honest opinion is it doesn't seem worth the time mastering perl just to modify this board.

BTW, I see I messed up my italics example in my previous post, as it wasn't in italics!! ooops... must have mistyped. This sentence should be italicized.
