Good advice but I'm not known for following good advice.

However, I do have a decent laptop with XP on it and an external HD that I can use to move files around.

Worst of all (to me, anyway) is that I installed the 64 bit version of Vista and it won't run my DOS programs. The 32 bit will, so all my work today was for nothing.

This PC really flies. Things just seem to appear.
