Rhode Island is not a pet friendly place - we had a cat show a couple weeks ago there and the DEM (department of environmental management?) came thru with tasers and guns asking for proof of rabies and helth certificates from everyone and wanting to confiscate all Bengals and Savannah kitty cats because they are wild animals.

Needless to say, there will be no more cat shows help in Rhode Island - TICA was going to have their Annual International show and awards ceremony there in 2014 but that's been cancelled.

They are now claiming all Bengals and Savannah cats are illegal in their state. On another note, Their State Vet says it's better to trap and euthanize all feral cats than to capture them and perform spay/neuter. I pray that the rats over-run RI and the plaque runs rampant.. that's one crazy place.
