I may be wrong, but I think there have been few quakes in that area over the last 2 decades that I have been paying attention. I'm pretty sure that the early warning folks get a little concerned any time there are quakes right on or next to the southern San Andreas. But of course so far, and for the last 300 years, nothing much happens.
