I wonder what made La Cienega Blvd. buckle... in Baldwin Hills. That's a few clicks west of downtown LA, north of Inglewood, at the northish end of the Newport-Inglewood fault.

Probably no connection.

But, I wonder if the strain you mention isn't due to the recent bout of rain.
