Then, I don't understand why you insist that Jupiter has an effect. It might take you a minute to understand that chart I posted, but it shows that the tidal effect caused by Jupiter is AT MOST nearly 165,000 times WEAKER than the Moon; and just over 67,000 times WEAKER than the Sun. I could accept that the Lunar tides and maybe Solar tides MIGHT have an effect on earthquakes, but everything else in the solar system exerts such a weak effect it's not even worth mentioning. I calculate the force from Jupiter's gravity to be AT MOST 366 nano-Newtons, about equal to the force you feel in the palm of your hand if you held three grains of sand. And of course, everything else in the solar system is weaker still.
