Re: L.A. Basin earthquake sequence |
Hi Lowell. I sure wish someone would find a way to give an accurate magnitude of an impending quake. The data I use only gives me the when and where and even with that it's not 100% accurate. A lot of work still needs to be done, but with each forecast, good or bad it keeps getting closer. Even with 100% accuracy in regards to the when and where without an accurate forecast of the magnitude it isn't going be much good for anything other then an advisement. Still I guess it could be said that this is better then nothing. I know some people who do not want to know when a major quake is going to strike. My better half is one of those. I also know some people who want to know the exact day it's going to strike. Half a dozen of one, six of another. One day accurate forecasting of a quake will be a reality. I sure hope I'm still around to see that. Take Care…Don in creepy town Follow Ups: ● Re: L.A. Basin earthquake sequence - Petra Challus 08:41:06 - 10/13/2001 (9981) (0) |
