You're way out of line here.

Lowell's credentials are impeccable. That does not make him unquestionable, of course.

I will admit I'm puzzled by some of the things he accepts, but he's closer to the cutting edge than I am and has better access to the literature as well.

Besides, he's saving me a lot of effort by evaluating predictions here!
