As for getting paid for book reviews, they don't pay much. It's a matter of gelt or glory.

And what do you mean you're "just a programmer?" That takes brains, girl. Sort of like saying, "I'm just a physicist."

Good for you for finishing up that degree! You, Don, Petra, and Lowell, and possibly dib (please forgive me if I've left someone out) seem to have lives devoted solely to earthquake studies.
