May not be such a long shot after all, Don. NCSN is reporting the following
earthquake in the area tonight:
Ml 1.2 2001/10/09 20:22:35 37.872N 122.193W 8.7 1 km ( 1 mi) WSW of Orinda, CA
I think this falls just within the 40 km radius, but I assume is not the earthquake
you are expecting.

By the way, the Nevada earthquake has now been removed, apparently it was
a ghost afterall. Somebody must be watching this board (just kidding)!!!
