Hi Lowell. Thanks for the information. I was aware of the geomagnetic storm before the Loma Prieta quake, but not the 1979 and 1984 quakes.

This being the case it would seem that the faults in this area are highly susceptible to geomagnetic storms. We have had other such storms in the past without an increase in activity in this area, but that could be because I wasn’t watching it that close. We have so many quakes in and around the area I live in that it is hard to track of what is doing what.

I suspect that the increase in activity would also depend upon the specific location the storm impacted the earth. Take Care…Don in creepy town
