Hi Lowell & Canie,

I see the weather in the Nation's Capital was just a little more stranger than our area. I heard today that a woman took her two children out in her backyard in Sonoma (just over the hill from me) to see the lightning. She was struck by lightning in her left arm. She's suffering from burns and is still in the hospital, however, the rest of her body is just fine. One of those plus minus things I guess.

We have had tornado's around here from time to time, but the news people never ever say they are tornados. The last one was called a "wind vortex." So here in the newspaper were four photographs taken of this tornado with an explanation saying what you are seeing isn't a tornado. I don't understand why Sonoma County can't have tornados. They are everywhere else except here.

I wonder if they made the president go into the basement? I'm sure they kept him out of AF1.
