Hi All,

I just wanted to say our first rain has arrived this afternoon with balmy conditions and my favorite, lightning and thunder appearing in bolts. I love thunderstorms and this is a true rarity in these parts. Perhaps only once a year and to be so blessed to have it with the first rain must be an omen of a wizbanger of a winter perhaps?

A co-worker said this afternoon she thought she should have more candles and flashlights out right now and I told her yes, that is a good idea. My only excuse is that I've moved things around in my house so much now, I haven't a clue where the candles, laterns or flashlights are. Talk about unprepared. I think I'll have to share this lesson with my readers on TSSZ, so they can learn from my faux paxs.

Ah, now if we could only have a bit of snow this winter, it would be a marvelous transition to spring.
