Hi Lowell,

Life with Zima must always be a surprise. How wonderful. When I was young we had a "mother cat" and she hated dogs. When they would come round she would get down real low and the dog would stare eye to eye with her. Eventually it would test the dogs patience and he would foam at the mouth in anger and just as the dog was about to leave, that old cat would jump on his back, put her claws into him and bite him. Poor dogs, they never stood a chance.

Actually, neither did I. She had a litter of kittens and my favorite was "bootsy", all black with four white feet. So one day I picked up bootsy and played for a bit and then put her down and left to go into the house. When I reached the top stair, that old mother cat jumped on my back, dug in four paws of claws and bit me in the back of the neck.

Well, off to the vet in a gunny sack she went for rabies testing. She had no rabies so she and the kittens went to the farm outside of town. Poor thing, she was only being an over protective mom.

Mind you, she hated dogs whether she had kittens or not.

I hope Zima looses her desire to chase trucks soon.

Petra
