Hi Petra: Yes...science fiction and imagination often lead science.... I've found that the juxatposition /conjunction of thoughts, ideas, and data (created/observed by others)often move one closer to the solution by the process of elimination. So for me, it's creation by evolving from existing items (as opposed to "from nothing"...though this works too).
So you don't have a database? I thought Don had built one up?
Well, I'll be interested in reading your theory in a novel...recently, science ideas, have been presented in that format.

As something Don would likely say..."Yes, I've got the bull by the horns" but the bull may feel like he's got me by the arms (or "I'm not sure who's going to throw who"...:). Thx for the encouragement.
