Hawaiian earthquakes

Just a thought. A strong swarm of earthquakes occurred in Hawaii the day of
Loma Prieta (19 October, 1989). This was probably due to the X20 solar flare on
19 October, however, and was likely not completely caused by far-field triggering.
Following is a listing of the most active days seismically in Hawaii in the past 20 years:

Also affecting the timing of this swarm may be a tropical depression currently
