Re: Vancouver Isl. quakes |
Hi Lowell, Well I see my ear tone produced the results I expected, but there was something I wanted to point out, in the event some others may have not noticed. Attached is the NEIC Bulletin with the map. Please note the quakes before the Olympia event occurred in the trench in the north/east direction from todays quake and the past few quakes. (see inside the yellow boundary lines up and to the left) While it might be far field triggered, we have to realize there have been quite a number of these 4. range quakes in this Port Hardy area. This suggests the quakes may be other than far field related, or a combination of both far field and precursory plate boundary movement. The most important message one must impart here is that this area is not quiet and within a short period of time (less than a year) another large quake can strike WA or British Columbia. Therefore, preparedness is an absolute must at this time. Petra Follow Ups: ● Re: Vancouver Isl. quakes - Lowell 21:12:51 - 9/10/2001 (9409) (0) |
