I think the east pacific rise continues up through the salton sea, up thru Cima volcanic area and on up into the Long Valley area along the eastern side of the sierras.... Just a personal opinion.

Interesting that you think it may be as far east as the rockies...That is about the edge of the Farallon isn't it? Do we really know where the edge of the Farallon plate is under North America?
