Lowell; Far be it from me to claim expertise in this subject, but I did spend my working career looking at nuclear events. There were many proposals to conceal tests but I don't know of any that were practical. Letting a quake trigger one might work but logistically wouldn't be practical since you wouldn't know when to expect it and might miss the data. Most of the money spent was for determining thresholds of detection, not determining practicality. Quarry blasts are a different story. They are MUCH smaller and not necessarily fully contained (as in strip mining) so the energy is not always compressional in all directions. Your message was cut off mid sentence!
