Re: The Pinole Fault

Interesting that this discussion should occur today. I see that NCSN is listing
a Ml 1.9 near Pinole, CA. Presumably this is on the Pinole fault? Any help here,
Don??

NCSN listing:
ML 1.9 2001/09/06 11:41:28 38.072N 122.411W 9.4 12 km ( 8 mi) NW of Pinole, CA

This is probably related to the Novato CA earthquake yesterday of Ml 2.6 which
is listed as:

ML 2.6 2001/09/05 01:10:36 38.083N 122.406W 13.0 13 km ( 8 mi) NW of Hercules, CA

about 5 km to the NE of today's event.

Don predicted the Novato earthquake quite well, perhaps he can suggest
a relation between these two, and whether a larger event is yet to come in this
sequence.
