Hi Lowell. I was going through my data when the Novato one jumped out at me. I knew this one was to good to pass up.

There does seem to be a fluctuation in the timing on some of the quakes as I’m still using the same widow as before. Not sure if this is due to the location of the quakes, or to the trigger (s) or something else.

It could be stress related. The more stress there is in a given area the more sensitive the area becomes when it’s tickled. In other words you don’t have to hit it with a sledgehammer to get it to move. You just have to hit it in the right location at the right time from the right direction with just the right angle.

The depth of this quake also has me a little concerned in that it’s deeper then the average depth (4-5Km) for quakes in that area. It’s almost at the same depth as the Loma Prieta quake, which was also deeper, then the average quake for the Bay Area. I doubt that there is any connection between the two. It just seems odd.
