My guess is that the 100,000th visitor arrived quite a while ago. I've noticed that the counter doesn't seem to work if you access the page without the "www." at the front.

http://www.earthwaves.org/wwwboard/wwwboard.html counter works, page loads OK
http:/earthwaves.org/wwwboard/wwwboard.html counter does not work, page loads OK

Based on my observation, the true count would seem to be in question, and true hits may have been undercounted. I suppose the counter could be working, and it's only the display that errors. Maybe Canie could shed some light.
