I know I jumped on Martin for such a prediction and to be fair I must protest this one. I guess I think things are pretty separated since I live down here - I also know both areas well and will be at Indian Wells area this weekend. They are nearly 2 different seismic areas - on is southern Palm Springs area and the other is the southern sierras. Are you sure they are only 37km away from eachother? It takes me hours to go from one site to the other... I wouldn't consider this an accurate prediction since the two areas are so distant and different from each other. San Andreas fault system versus the Sierra systems. Also Coso has been way to active to count - What happened to our quake probabilities?
