Something Strange |
Last night at about 11:00 pm PST, Saturday, 11/20/1999 or 7:00 am GMT, Sunday, 11/21/1999 I saw something on the seismocam that appeared to be an upper five to six magnitude quake fairly close (between northern South America and Alaska). The wave form quickly increased to over 30,000 units in height after a few minutes (that would be an even larger quake). I lost my connection and when I got back on everything seemed to be normal. I have been searching the lists and haven't found anything that coordinates with the timing on this. There had been a South american quake about four hours earlier on the Red Puma list, but the way this one looked that wasn't it. I was hoping it would be up on the lists this morning, but it still isn't there yet. I'm just curious about where it was and how big.
