it down, but it will also help to transmit the
vibrations, which could take out a hard drive or two. What I "think" they are looking for is something that will absorb shock, almost the
way foundations are made to absorb shock. I'm
not talking about a desktop PC, but rather a file server (might contain 10-20 high capacity hard drives), which is usually about the size of Dormatory Refrigerator. The only thing I can think of would be somekind of base with coil springs attached to another base.
