When I speak of this summer past, what will I say? I will say the time invested in tending, caring, loving, watering and talking to my garden brought with it a bountiful harvest. The rich fullness of life stretched before me in the long days, warm beautiful evenings, and the scent of jasmine in the garden caressed my soul.

Though the bounty of summer is now past, the glory of winter arrives. With a dusting of new snow upon the ground, what once was a barren landscape suddenly becomes a winter wonderland.

Someone once said, I was a rose in the garden of life, however that person now says I am a rose with thorns. I can't imagine why.

Thanks Dale for sharing. Your brother is very gifted.
