CRITICAL EQ WINDOWS |
Saw something to consider: 99/11/02 08:45:21 45.20N 56.08W 18.0 4.5Ml NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN If you go to: http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/cgi-bin/quake/gldfs.cr.usgs.gov and look at the map, you can see where this quake was located. This is about where 990 went down and where the ocean waters have been heating and cooling and heating and cooling all over again. There was a little heating at the time of the accident and I can't help but wonder. There are now reports from witnesses that they heard two water level booms unlike any they had ever heard before. Question is, what caused these booms? 990 breaking the sound barrier when it fell the first time? I've heard the returning shuttles boom boom on return to Edwards, but these booms were clearly from the sky and not ground level. Sure were strange goings on. I had a good day all around and no strong symptoms to report. Makes me think we'll see a good size EQ soon, but where exactly remains the question. RB will be in critical at midnight, so heads up for folks out there. >LS-NORTH SAN FRANCISICO TO TIP OF ALUETIANS/+4.8 at S.F./100% >RS-NORTHRIDGE TO SAN JOSE/4.4/50% >RB ARC - RIDGECREST TO N. Let's hope it is not in a populated area. >For my history and 7.0 hits, July, August and September hits. Follow Ups: ● Re: CRITICAL EQ WINDOWS - Lucinda 21:15:37 - 11/4/1999 (901039) (0) |
