Correct me if I leave anybody out, but I think
the Inland Empire is the area from Covina and
Pomona over to San Bernardino, Riverside, and
Corona. It is known for being pretty hot and
smoggy because it is seperated from the ocean
by the San Jose Hills, Puente Hills, Chino Hills,
and the Santa Ana Mountains. It's also bordered
on the north by the San Gabriel Mountains. Also
included in the Inland Empire are Fontana and
Rancho Cucamonga which have had recent activity
that hasn't been considered aftershocks to other
recent activity.
