Wow, Canie, you sure have activated my visual mind with those pictures. And thanks especially by placing common objects next to the damage. The Road Sigh aiming at 10:30 making a 45 degree angle. My Geometry begins to come back into memory focus and that part of my brain, which once upon a time loved Geometry, begins to go to work on the angles and what this means. Then on the lines to the horizon and how everything in that picture points to that point and then Road Sign becoming the base line to 10:30 on the dial.

It's as if this Road Sign is trying to tell us something and indeed it does about the earthquake. The ground beneath the sign had to move 45 degrees to put the sign in that position and that seems like a lot of movement to me. If I fell over 45 degrees, I would soon be flat on the ground! That's a lot of force (to move the ground), which, indeed a 7.0 produces. What more will others make of it?

But, my problem (to solve) is God has taught me that He speaks most clearly in numbers, where they are by nature, precise. One is One and One And two are three and so it goes. We got off easy with this quake. Think about it. Not really that much smalled than the ones which hit Turkey, Taiwan and Mexico. Seven is a seven and it's going to eat up man's structures carving up new vines on the earth. Reminds me of me right now...in this aging process to the body. Can't say I like it. And vines are beginning to come up through the skin. So I grow old and so does the earth. Everything does and everything breaks down. That is the given process of life and time. Time breaks down into memory pockets of history. And we think we can know where we are going by out past? No wonder we are in trouble.

We thought we could coast and we can't. We got the message loud and clear from bird research; the faster moving all the time birds aged much slower than the lazy birds of little motion. It's true for people as well. Live somewhere long enough and you will see it happening to those around you. The more active, the longer they live. But movement takes thought. What can you do to keep yourself moving? So much of the time?

Looking around America, this techology age is slowly killing us. 51% of the population in America is heavily overweight and getting bigger. Eating and not moving much does this even when we cut make on our intake. I had to learn this the hard way for myself. The Navy said maintain a certain weight and that, for me, became more difficult with each passing year. I worked a desk job and the stress had me blanking out at night. I should have gone running, but I never even thought it. Then, when I had to become a gardener to survive the bills, the process reversed. I had to eat more to keeping working and to keep my body weight at the Navy standard for my age. What fun!!!

I wonder how many will get the point of this? If there's one. Hmmm... There's always a point, right? Sharp or dull. Good or bad. Right or wrong. So, God told Moses so long ago and I could not help myself from laughing when I read that story for the first time. I could just see poor Moses trying to make sense of what was happening outside of himself. Suddenly a burning bush? Anyhow, was sure God was going to strike me down for laughing, but He didn't. So I lived. So I live.

As each of you. Doing what we do to stay alive. Isn't that the real name of the game? Staying alive? Staying safe to stay alive?

Just go plant a tree or something. Keep giving it water and see what it and your care does to the earth. The city air gets cleaner, for one. Ahhhh... But what of the ground? A farmer knows. He must put back to keep his crops agrowing rich and tall. So, must we. To continue to live.

Now, we must decide which it is to be. Do we begin to give back or continue to take what isn't ours to take? Do we usher in God or the antichrist? Some are thinking, right now, that it is already too late. But I say; "No, it is never too late with God." He does, from our point of view, change His mind. But look what it took? The absolute faith of Abraham in God. Faith in God? Oh boy, that's a hard one for so many today. But it's the only way we are going to get out of the mess we have now created in this world. The good must outweigh the bad or satan will come and then God to clean up the mess Himself. Which means some of us get rewarded and some of us end up in Hell.

The choice is yours.

Diane
P.S. Canie, see what your pictures did to me!
