Okay, I am not going to go through this one alone. I'm inviting them all in.

Today marks the half year point since my mother's death and she is still not dead in my head, so my emotions stay close to the surface. So, not wanting to go there, I say out loud; :Ok God, what have you done today? I click the world list and find 10/13; my mother's day, and I read:

99/10/13 01:04:22 37.88N 122.24W 10.1 2.7Md CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

He starts the day with a 2.7. Okay. But on the world map set for 4.5 and better? Must mean something. I will have to look at the map.

But then I read:
99/10/13 01:33:40 54.72N 161.19W 33.0 6.3Ms A ALASKA PENINSULA

6.3 in Alaska? So, that mild itching I got three days ago, that I didn't report, thinking so mild, went and produced a 6.3 up there.! Hmmm... LS is still out of critical. That means no PR for this quake. Hmmm...Better think on that one.

Then I see:
99/10/13 04:03:55 75.94N 11.33E 10.0 4.5Mb B SVALBARD REGION

I don't recognize Svalbard, so I check out LATLONG and then I remember. That's up there near the top of the world, where all that heating took place this summer. Hmmm...

But:
99/10/13 04:56:10 33.21N 115.99W 3.8 3.0Ml SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

catches my eye. Back to S. Calif. where I am. What? 3.0 on the world list! Here we go again, are they trying to tell us something? Okay God, you have my attention, where did you go next?

99/10/13 06:38:57 8.39N 82.48W 10.0 4.3Mb B PANAMA-COSTA RICA BORDER REG

and then?

99/10/13 09:21:09 44.75N 110.94W 6.1 3.1Ml YELLOWSTONE REG, WYOMING
99/10/13 09:58:45 44.75N 110.94W 6.4 3.1Ml YELLOWSTONE REG, WYOMING

Yellowstone? Didn't I just pick Yellowstone for TR? But that's out of critical now, so what are you (God) up to? Now, I am beginning to get excited and my mind blows as I comprehend:

99/10/13 10:09:00 42.54N 71.46W 5.2 2.4Md SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

New England! East Coast! Oh boy...Lord, what are you trying to say?

99/10/13 13:12:28 40.50N 125.67W 10.0 3.6Ml C OFF COAST OF N CALIFORNIA

3.6 of N. Calif. LS out of critical again. No matter. Too small for a PR anyhow. Okay, what's next:

99/10/13 19:35:56 36.00N 120.56W 4.3 3.3Ml CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

Is this where I think it is?

MAP 3.3 99/10/13 12:35:56 36.00N 120.56W 4.3 10 mi NW of PARKFIELD

PARKFIELD. Well, okay, but you can't do anything big until November. But you could shake us up a bit by having a couple of 4+ quakes there. Which could be foreshocks for November. Hmmm...

In the meanwhile, why do I keep feeling little shacks under me? RB just went out of critical and the only thing big left to maybe occur is C. Great!

All this on this day. And the day isn't over. It still has eight plus hours to go. What else might you be planning? I won't ask why you pick today except to say; "Thank you. Gave me lots to think about and that will keep me from the sad. Thank you.".
------------

There, you have an example of what I go through when I log on for the day and see what has happened in the last 24. It's not always so dramatic, but the think process is about the same. I look, I see, I comment and I talk to God. Rather informaly. But that's God's fault. He hasn't told me to straighten up and show some respect. So, I have taken that to mean He doesn't mind being talked to as a very close friend. But, I have to tell you, should His voice ever boom down on me, I'm on a face in a flash! Believe me.

Comments are welcome.
