I think the song "America the Beautiful" written after the lyricist had taken
a trip to the top of Pike's Peak (near Colorado Springs) says more than I
can about the beauty of the Rockies and of the rest of the nation.
Since I live here, I take it all much for granted, and it didn't occur to me
that others don't. So, once again, thanks for the words Don.
The frontrange was misty today, perhaps weeping for the rocks shattered
in the earthquake yesterday. But with temperatures in the 70's and the
sun high in the sky, Zima and I trekked for a while this morning and loved
every minute of it.
Wish you could all partake in the miracle of nature that the Rockies are!!!
