Hi All,

Jesus said not to give a man a fish, but to teach him how to fish so he could provide for himself during his entire lifetime.

Today's bit of press is a gift to the public, one that comes with some hard work, but also a return of the gift of time I received the past three years from those here and primarily scientists. From each I heard a message, but in different area's of focus, but narrowing it down to, "tell them to prepare, but don't scare them to death in the process" is the simple definition.

My greatest inspiration came from Alan Lindh when I sat with him on a impromptu visit. As he sat there in his chair, he put his fingers together from both hands, put his head back a bit and thought and then he told me that despite earthquake prediction, people still needed to be prepared. He really didn't want to talk about earthquake prediction at the time and that was just fine. But in a few minutes his words, combined with the thoughtful one's of many others, I felt I could do something that was worthy of a good effort and try a new life saving technique in my own style.

There will never be enough words or special deeds I might bestow upon Don Eck. He is my daily inspiration, my personal rooting squad, the one who says, 'go girl go" and a thousand and one other things. He has been a great teacher and mentor, a terrific geo partner, a best friend, and so much more.

This of course is just the beginning. We have a lot of territory to cover and a lot of seeds of thought to convey to the public. A gift of education that might place hope in a dark place, the tools to get ready and a method for self preservation. Perhaps the gift of life.

May I say a humble Thank You to all of you for the thought process that made today possible.
