I was rather surprised by the quake history that affected Colorado. To me it is difficult to imagine these seismic waves going under the crust and especially under the Rockies and giving your state an earthquake. But I guess all things being relative, we're all floating on molten rock anyway, so a huge mountain range would be no different than the edge of the continent next to the ocean on a beach.

I find the information you provide following these events is infinitely fascinating. Really gets my gray cells working.
