The North Bay Edition

Hi All,

Don and I worked until the wee hours last night to finish the North Bay Edition of the Seismic Safety Zone. There are some good photos courtesy of Don of our study area which will finally let you see exactly what shutter ridges look like.

In this edition Don supplied the humor of the month at my expense, so I hope you'll have a look see and then you can understand what kind of humor he has. Mind you he says I'm strange, or weird, I wonder what people might say about him? A man with to many gut feelings? I am glad to say I don't get to many 'gut feelings" about earthquakes, I have mine for other reasons. I just use my ears and though surely not as good as his gut, easier to talk about in public.

I received gifts twice in the last month of a goodly supply of fresh garlic. I'm not sure if people think I need to make a wreath with it and hang it on the front door, use it as perfume, or give it to Don so he'll have more success with forecasting earthquakes. But I will send him home with some of it as I couldn't possibly consume that much myself.

Tomorrow night Jim Berkland is playing a role in a play at Sonoma State University. Its one that Jack London wrote, called The Acorn and Jim will play the part of "the old man." Don and I plan on being in attendance to view this event up close and personal. We'll let you know tomorrow about this viewing.

We've added a guest book to our site on the front page, so if you're inclined, please put your monikers on there if you wish.

Petra
